# Blocked nights

> The Boogie Data API and MCP server are launching soon. Reports, fee calculators and methodology on this site are live now.

**Blocked nights:** Closed calendar nights we classify as closed by the host rather than booked by a guest.

## How we measure it

A run of 30 or more consecutive closed nights counts as blocked: host use, a seasonal closure or a paused listing.

## What it is not

Blocked nights are left out of occupancy, so a host who closes the winter does not look fully booked.

## Where it appears in the data

Field names as the API returns them; each dataset's page in the API lists the field's type and unit.
