# Booked nights

**Booked nights:** Closed calendar nights we classify as taken by a guest.

## How we measure it

We split the calendar into runs of consecutive closed nights. A run of 2 to 7 nights matches a typical guest stay and counts as booked.

## What it is not

It is an estimate from calendars, not a reservation record from the platform.

## Where it appears in the data

Field names as the API returns them; each dataset's page in the API lists the field's type and unit.
