# Fee tier

**Fee tier:** A price band or seller level that changes the fee rate, such as a lower rate on the part of a sale above a set amount.

## How we measure it

We record the band's lower and upper bounds and the condition, in the venue's own terms.

## What it is not

Venues differ on whether a tier's rate applies to the whole price or only the part inside the band; the linked fee page says which.

## Where it appears in the data

Field names as the API returns them; each dataset's page in the API lists the field's type and unit.
