# Lowest ask

**Lowest ask:** The cheapest price a seller is asking for an item right now.

## How we measure it

We record the cheapest live listing's item price and, separately, the cheapest delivered price with shipping.

## What it is not

An ask is not a sale. A very low item price with high shipping is flagged, and the delivered price is the useful one.

## Where it appears in the data

Field names as the API returns them; each dataset's page in the API lists the field's type and unit.

- `lowest_price` in dataset `tcgplayer_asks`
- `lowest_price_with_shipping` in dataset `tcgplayer_asks`
