# Minimum stay

**Minimum stay:** The fewest nights a listing accepts for one booking.

## How we measure it

We record the minimum the listing shows on the day we observe it; hosts change it by season.

## What it is not

A long minimum stay can make a calendar look full when the open nights simply cannot be booked.

## Where it appears in the data

Field names as the API returns them; each dataset's page in the API lists the field's type and unit.
