Lodging tax: Tax charged on short stays, also called transient occupancy tax, hotel tax or room tax.
How we measure it
We record the state, county and city rates separately, and a combined rate only when the jurisdiction states one itself.
What it is not
We do not add the parts together, because they can apply to different amounts.
Where it appears in the data
Field names as the API returns them; each dataset's page in the API lists the field's type and unit.
