Marketplace and auction fees: how we read them

For sellers choosing where to sell a card, comic or collectible. Our fee figures come from each venue's own published fee pages, with the page link and the date we read it. These schedules are what the free fee calculators use. Any fee a venue does not publish is shown as unknown, never as zero, and any total that depends on it is marked as partial.

What we record

For each venue and side of the sale: the fee type (buyer's premium, seller fee, payment processing, minimum shipping or grading), the percentage, any flat amount, and the price band or condition the rate applies to, in the venue's own terms.

How the calculator uses it

The free fee calculators apply the published rates to a price you enter and show the buyer's total and the seller's net. The worked examples on each page use the same six sale prices, from $10 to $10,000 (US dollars), so you can compare venues side by side.

What it leaves out

Sales tax, VAT unless stated, shipping, insurance, storage and currency conversion. Promotions and negotiated rates are not included.

Freshness

Each schedule shows the date we read it. Venues change fees without notice, so check the linked page before a large sale.
